Jan Young, MA

Jan started her experience at Laurel Life in 2013.  She has over 30 years experience in the field of mental health.  She is currently the Supervisor of our Gettysburg and York offices.  Jan’s specialties include anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma and dual diagnosis.  She utilizes CBT techniques, here and now counseling, client-centered, solution-focused, reality-based, trauma-informed and work to empower the client to have a voice.  Her experience includes working with individuals, couples and families, assisting clients to lead more positive and strength-based lifestyles.        

Suzanne Siroki, DNP, CRNP, PMHNP-BC, LCSW

Dr. Suzanne is a Doctorate level Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Family Psychiatry Mental Health, Certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health, Certified by the Academy of Certified Social Workers and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Suzanne brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience. She has worked in both psychiatric inpatient and outpatient facilities and provided therapy, management, directorship and quality improvement, all within three states on the east coast. Suzanne specializes in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders, Bereavement/Loss, Co-occurring Disorders-Mental Health and Substance Abuse, Complementary and Integrative Therapy. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International the Honor Society of Nursing, National Association of Social Workers; American Society of Nurse Practitioners, Association for Death Education and Counseling; National Association of Social Workers and the American Psychiatric Nursing Association.  Suzanne earned her Masters Degree and Doctorate Degree as an NP in Family Psychiatry from Robert Morris University in PA. She earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from Norfolk State University in VA. 

 
Nicole Losh, MS, LPC, TF-CBT

Nicole is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and has completed her certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Nicole’s experience includes working with individuals and families, assisting clients to lead more positive and strength-based lifestyles. Her style focuses on meeting a client where they are and assisting them on whatever journey or goals they are hoping to work towards. She practices and has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, and Reality Therapy.  

 
Heather Auxt-Snelson, BA

Heather is an outpatient mental health counselor at the Gettysburg office. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, is a certified life coach, and Reiki Master/teacher. Heather has previous experience as a behavior specialist, working with adults with intellectual disabilities, and as a mental health worker for at-risk youth in the high school setting. Her experience also includes trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness practices.

She enjoys helping others, is empathetic, and thrives on teaching others how to incorporate mindfulness and calming practices into their lives.

Jennifer Pivovarnik, M.Ed, LPC, NCC

Jennifer has worked with adolescents, children and families in individual, group, and family therapy for the past 11 years. She is very active, energetic, involved and personal in her therapy sessions. Jennifer incorporates a blend of approaches, styles, and treatment modalities to find what is most helpful for each individual client. She provides support and understanding to help clients build on their strengths in order to gain the personal growth they would like to achieve. She works with a variety of concerns including depression, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, behavioral disorders, divorce and grief.

 
Dr. Dana Crites, MD

Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr. Crites has over 20 years experience including providing services for mental health clinics and school districts. She works with individuals with ages ranging from 3-22 years old. She completed her residency training at Hershey Medical Center and was a faculty member there for almost 10 years. In addition, she has provided medical missionary work in Liberia and Haiti.

 
Elise Mauser, M.Ed., LPC, NCC

Elise is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and a graduate of Shippensburg University with a Masters of Education and focus in K-12 School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling. She is Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. She provides services to children, teens, and adults. Elise has worked in the Mental Health field since 2013. She has experience working with individuals, families and groups in the following areas: Depression and Bipolar Disorders; Anxiety disorders; Behavior challenges; Self-harm behaviors; Grief/loss; Anger and stress management; Trauma/abuse; Family/relationship issues; Suicidal ideation; Self-image and Self-esteem issues. Elise uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma informed care, Strengths-based therapy approaches, Psychoeducation and Solution-Focused therapy in addition to others depending on the needs of the individual. Elise’s experience varies from working in Behavioral Health and Recovery Services and Community and School-Based Behavioral Health settings. She currently works at Laurel Life as an Outpatient therapist and is the Clinical Supervisor of Outpatient Services at the Mechanicsburg office. 

 
Michael Fox, MPS, ATR, LPC

Michael Fox is a Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He earned his Bachelor’s degree in the disciplines of Psychology and Art Therapy from Arcadia University in 2007, and later completed extensive coursework and graduate training in New York City at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, earning a Master’s degree in Creative Arts Therapy and Creativity Development in 2009. 

 

Michael devotes much of his time outside of the professional scope of art therapy in helping to coordinate and develop camp programming for children and teens with various issues with an expressive arts focus. He is currently serving in an ongoing role as the Program Director and one of the founding members for the Keystone Diabetic Kids Camp (KDKC), serving Type 1 diabetic children and teens in Millville, PA, as well as helping with bereavement camps through various hospice organizations such as Camp Dragonfly and Camp Courage in the Schuylkill, Columbia, and Dauphin County areas. 

 

Michael specializes in working with children, adolescents, and teenagers whom have experienced significant loss, abuse, or trauma, as well as attachment issues/abandonment issues, foster care, depression, anxiety, grief, bullying, and issues faced within the LGBTQ+ community. He has extensive work as well with the elderly; specifically, issues related to Memory Care, Alzheimer’s and Dementia and other cognitive impairments, as well as some work with those whom have suffered Traumatic Brain Injury, and is certified to direct recreational therapy programming for skilled nursing facilities within the state of Pennsylvania. Michael operates from a humanistic, client-centered theoretical framework and firmly holds the belief that everyone is an artist in their own right; he draws upon this in helping clients to realize that they can use their own inherent creative skills and abilities to enhance and improve their quality of life and life experience overall. Michael’s approach with clients is often describe as colorful, fun, eccentric, and individualized to each person with whom he is working.

 
Katharine Luce, MA

Katharine has her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Indianapolis. She works as both a school-based counselor in local schools and as an outpatient counselor with children, adolescents, and adults. Katharine’s approach to therapy is a mixture of CBT, person-centered, and interpersonal, and she tries to tailor her therapy to the client’s individual needs and personality. Katharine has worked with individuals with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, ADHD, trouble with school, grief, behavioral issues, and trauma, as well as others. Katharine believes in using a person’s strengths and uniqueness to help them become empowered and work through their struggles in a safe space. 

 
Lindsay Snoke, LSW

Lindsay is a licensed therapist with a Masters of Social Work Degree with a mental health focus from the University of Pittsburgh. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Psychology. She also received a minor in Sociology and a minor in LGBTQ+ and Sexuality Studies. Her therapy style is trauma-informed, strength-based, and CBT. 

 

She worked previously at Laurel Life with children ages 3-12 as a Behavioral Health Technician and appreciated watching her clients’ growth and learning about Autism. She previously interned at Pine Grove SCI in their case management department as well as at Renewal Outpatient Mental Health. These experiences taught her how to work with individuals in the criminal justice system and meet their unique needs. She interned at Caring Hearts Counseling and provided outpatient services to those with various mental health needs. She has volunteered her time to programs dedicated to ending sexual assault such as the Haven Project in Indiana, PA, as well as an LGBTQ+ group Pride Alliance. She has co-facilitated weekly workshops with LGBTQ+ individuals in college and has enjoyed learning about the complexities of gender and sexuality. She visited an LGBTQ+ conference in Bloomsburg University 3 different years and is Ally Trained; it is important to her to support LGBTQ+ individuals. She places a large emphasis on being culturally competent, and being a strong ally to people of color. Lindsay has a strong work-ethic and according to her supervisors,  “goes ‘above and beyond’ for her clients”.  

 
Jenea Fultz, MSW

Jenea has worked with children, adolescents and families, in the Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services for the past 5 years. This experience has provided her the ability to work with children and adolesence of many backgrounds, behaviors, diagnosis, and life situations. Jenea's theraputic approache is involved, positive, and personal. Her styles and Treatment modalities are based on the individual client and their needs, interests and preferences. Jenea's focus is to build on each individual's or families strengths in order to achieve their individual goals, growth with the ability to find their own sense of peace and direction. 

 
Sarah Brimmer, MA, LPC, NCC

Sarah is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and is working towards her certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Sarah is also a nationally certified counselor. She obtained her bachelor of science and master of arts degrees from Liberty University and specializes in Christian Counseling. Sarah has extensive experience working in residential treatment facilities with children and adolescents as well as working with families, and assisting clients to lead more positive and strength-based lifestyles. Her style focuses on meeting a client where they are and assisting them on whatever journey or goals they are hoping to work towards through the use of unconditional positive regard. She practices and has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, and Reality Therapy.

 
Jordan Korge, MA

Jordan is a graduate of Messiah College earning a Master's of Arts in Counseling while specializing in marriage and family therapy. His theoretical orientation currently draws concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy/Choice Theory and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Jordan continues to expand upon his interests in mindfulness and wellness oriented approaches through ongoing research and professional development. He is trained in Applied Behavioral Analysis.

 

Jordan specializes in children and young adults who are struggling to cope with issues stemming from their family of origin. He believes that families are the building blocks of society and while they frequently present problems, they can also offer opportunities for resilience. He bases this belief on real life experiences. He utilizes a trauma informed, strengths focused approach to collaborate with clients in order to enact change that is meaningful on their terms. Jordan has extensive experience working with individuals diagnosed with intellectual disability and or Autism Spectrum Disorder. He has over 10 years of experience in various positions ranging from case management to behavior support. Living and working locally has provided him with the opportunity to develop an intimate knowledge of supports and resources within the community, which he encourages clients to utilize as needed.

Seandor Szeles, MA, LPC

Seandor  is a master’s level therapist who completed his graduate training at Towson University in 2016. Seandor’s approach to therapy is person-centered, conversational and eclectic, prioritizing the role of the therapeutic relationship and utilizing a wide variety of techniques and interventions based on the needs of individual clients. He is comfortable utilizing cognitive-behavioral interventions, mindfulness techniques, and trauma focused interventions, among others.  He has worked with children, adolescents, adults and the elderly in the context of individual, family, and group counseling. Seandor has also worked as a Strengthsquest facilitator, helping individuals to identify their strengths and to utilize them in collaboration with others to accomplish shared goals. Seandor has experience working with clients on a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, family systems issues, behavioral issues, problems faced by the LGBTQ+ community and trauma.

Kathryn Pettit, MS

Kate has her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and her Bachelors in Behavioral Health Counseling from Drexel University. Kate has an extensive history of working with adults with intellectual disabilities and autism in the residential setting. Kate has also spent time working with children living in at risk neighborhoods. Kate is a National Certified Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and is working towards licensure. Kate is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and strength-based approaches as well as utilizing play and art therapy interventions when working with her adolescents.

Lori Horst, MS, NCC, CCMHC, LPC(PA)

Lori Horst is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over thirty years of experience in the field. She holds a Masters Degree in Community Counseling and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Shippensburg University. Lori enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults with particular interest in working with young children and in addressing women’s issues. Lori is trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and has training and experience in working with first responders following trauma exposure. Lori has experience in treating a variety of issues including but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADHD, ODD, and PTSD. Lori utilizes a strengths based perspective and varies her clinical approach based upon the needs of the individual.

Kelly Sult, LPC, TF-CBT

Kelly is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked in a variety of settings, including BHRS, Family Based Mental Health Services, outpatient therapy, and school based outpatient therapy. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Messiah College and Master of Science from Shippensburg University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Kelly uses a variety of approaches in therapy to meet her client's needs. She is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and is working towards certification as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). Kelly has a gift for connecting with people and showing that she understands and cares.

Amy is a licensed therapist who has worked inpatient, outpatient, and residential, specializing in adolescents who suffer from co-occurring disorders. Amy has her MS General Mental Health Counseling and a Master's Level Certification as an Addictive Behavior Specialist. Amy uses a blend of therapeutic techniques to help meet the individual's needs including creative therapies, strength based techniques, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Amy uses reality therapy in all aspects of the therapeutic process.  Amy regularly coordinates with outside agencies as appropriate and needed. 

 
Erin Pickering, MS, LPC

Erin is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a wide variety of experiences working in outpatient and residential settings over the last 19 years. She holds a Master’s in Psychology from Shippensburg University and a Master’s in Addictions Counseling from Grand Canyon University. She uses a blend of therapeutic techniques tailored to the needs of each client with a certification in TARGET (Trauma Affect Regulation: Guide for Education and Therapy). Erin works with clients of all ages but focuses on adolescents and adults. She works with various diagnoses, including but not limited to addiction and substance abuse, trauma and PTSD, Anxiety and Panic Disorders, Mood Disorders, and Post-Partum and Women’s Issues.   

 

Heather Deutsch, MS, NCC, CCMHC, LPC

 Specialties:  ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, ODD, Behavioral Management, Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Co-occurring Disorders and Grief work. Heather works with all ages, but her primary population is children and adolescents.  

 

Born and raised in south-central PA, Heather received her undergraduate degree (B.A.) in Psychology from University of Virginia (1989). She has worked in the mental health field for 27 years. Job settings have included outpatient counseling offices, mental health foster care programs, in home family counseling program (JUMP) with court adjudicated youth, alternative education programs and outpatient counseling in school districts. Heather has been with Laurel Life since 2002.

 

Kim Morgan, PhD.

Specialties: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Grief & Loss, sexual abuse or sex offenses (juvenile and adult), anxiety, PTSD, depression, anger management, ADHD, couples and families, and Substance Use Disorders.

Kim has a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of Phoenix, a Master’s of Science in Clinical Psychology from Capella University, and a PhD in Addiction Psychology from Capella University. Kim has her certification in TARGET (Trauma Affect Regulation: Guide for Education and Therapy). She is also working towards her LPC licensure. Kim has worked in the behavioral health field since 2006 in various roles which include; a correctional officer in a juvenile prison, psychology intern at an adult state correctional facility, outpatient clinician for various mental health and substance use disorder facilities, and she currently works at Laurel Life as a school-based clinician.       

 
Jody Onomastico, MS, LPC

Specialties: Anxiety, depression, grief and loss issues, sexual abuse issues, self-empowerment, ADHD, ODD, Behavioral Management, Parent Child Interaction Therapy. 

 

Jody works with all ages, from children through adulthood. Jody was born and raised in Chambersburg, PA. She attended Penn State University and earned an undergraduate degree (BS) in Human Development and Family Studies in 2000. Jody has done work in residential, outpatient, therapeutic foster care and school settings. She has worked in the mental health field for 18 years. Jody has worked with Laurel Life since 2009. She is currently a part-time outpatient therapist and works full time as a school counselor for a local school district.  

 
Marcy Rost, MS, LPC, NCC

Specialties:  Women's Issues, Sexual Abuse, Grief and Loss; Couples and Marriage; Family Issues; Adolescents; and Co-occurring Disorders  


Marcy earned her Master of Science Degree from Shippensburg University in Mental Health Counseling, earned her license in Pa as a Licensed Professional Counselor, and also is a Nationally Certified Counselor. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Kutztown University. Marcy began working with adolescents and teens within the alternative education realm prior to earning her Masters and becoming an outpatient therapist. She has worked extensively with individuals and groups, specifically with sexual abuse victims. Marcy was a group facilitator at Shippensburg University in connection with Drew’s Hope as well as with Camp Koala in Carlisle. She also facilitated groups for the visually impaired at ForSight in York and in Shippensburg. In addition, Marcy has training in dealing with anxiety, depression, grief and loss issues, substance abuse, sexual abuse issues, and self-empowerment. She primarily works with adolescents and adults in the capacity of individual, couples, and family therapy.

 
Jessica Santora, MS, LPC, NCC

Specialties: Gender responsive trauma treatment, as well as, working specifically with depression, ADHD, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, dual diagnosis, children on the spectrum, and play therapy with children as young as the age of three. 

 

Jessica has over 18 years experience of working with a diverse clientele. Jessica earned her Master of Science Degree from Shippensburg University in Mental Health Counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and is a Nationally Certified Counselor. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The University of Delaware. She has worked in Philadelphia at Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders and at the Roxbury Treatment Center, which involved work with co-occurring mental health and drug and alcohol disorders. Jessica has also worked at the Shippensburg Women’s Center where she advocated for a variety of women’s issues. Jessica has worked in the foster care system as a therapist to high risk children as well. She served as the Mental Health Therapist for adolescent girls and boys in inpatient placements.

 
Ashleigh Mann, MS

Ashleigh earned her Master of Science Degree from Capella University in Mental Health Counseling. She is currently in the process of working on her state license. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Pennsylvania State University in Human Development and Family Studies. Ashleigh started working with children diagnosed with Autism while working on her Bachelor Degree. She lived in Washington State for five years and was able to work for multiple school districts as their Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapist working with families and staff to help create programs to manage child behaviors. She also has experience in facilitating social skill groups. She has completed training through California Autism Research and Development, along with attending Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking Conference in Tacoma, Washington. Ashleigh formerly has also worked with adolescent females in a Residential Treatment Facility. In addition Ashleigh has experience in working with depression, anxiety, ADHD, phobias, eating disorders, mood disorders, play therapy and more. Ashleigh currently sees children, adolescents, and adults for individual and/or family therapy.  

 
Vanessa Stepler, M.Ed.

Vanessa has been working in the field of mental health and education since 1990. She has a background working in drug and alcohol, foster care, alternative education, school counseling and outpatient mental health. Vanessa has a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Education, both from Shippensburg University. She holds a Pennsylvania School Counseling Certificate. She also has her certification in TARGET (Trauma Affect Regulation: Guide for Education and Therapy). Vanessa is currently in the process of working on her state license. She has served populations from school aged children through adulthood specializing in anxiety/depression, ADD/ADHD, drug and alcohol, grief, behavioral issues, play therapy and crisis intervention. 

 
Lauren Gibble, LPC

Lauren earned her Master of Arts in Counseling and Bachelor of Science in Child Development & Family Studies both from West Virginia University. Since 2003 she has had experience working as an Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization therapist (individual, group and family therapies), outpatient play therapy, and currently serving in the school-based outpatient program with Laurel Life. Lauren uses a blend of eclectic techniques tailored to the needs of each client and has a particular interest in Family Therapy and the involvement of caregivers in the therapy process.

 
Margaret Sommer, MSW

Margaret has been providing therapy service for 25 years in a variety of settings. She has provided services for adults, children and families. Margaret has 30 years of experience in working with children and adults with developmental disabilities, specifically those on the Autism spectrum. She received her Masters in Social Work in  2003. Margaret is a certified Behavioral Specialist and a Licensed Social Worker in West Virginia. She has worked in both residential and community based settings.  

Matthew Pollard, MS, NCC

Matthew is a National Certified Counselor with a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health from Shippensburg University. Matthew is currently pursuing licensure in the state of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Laurel Life, Matthew worked in a variety of human services settings. Matthew has counseled adjudicated youth as part of a residential treatment program, worked within a community counseling clinic with adults and adolescents, worked in transitional educational settings, and provided family-based services. In addition, Matthew has served in leadership positions within the field of youth development in experiential and outdoor adventure settings. Matthew possesses a client-centered lens informed by a holistic understanding of trauma. Matthew’s clinical orientation is driven by contextual functionalism and draws heavily from Family Systems Theory, Reality Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Dr. Crites has over 20 years experience including providing services for mental health clinics and school districts. She works with individuals with ages ranging from 3-22 years old. She completed her residency training at Hershey Medical Center and was a faculty member there for almost 10 years. In addition, she has provided medical missionary work in Liberia and Haiti.

 
Jessica Springstead, BA

Jessica is originally from Michigan, where she received her B.A. Psychology and B.A. Spanish from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She participated in several research projects in the subject areas of older adulthood, cognition, depression in Hispanic adults, social determinants of health, and religious involvement. She is currently pursuing her M.A. Applied Clinical Psychology at Penn State Harrisburg. Jessica was previously a Family Based Mental Health Worker for Laurel Life in Perry and Cumberland counties. Jessica is also currently completing internship hours in Counseling Services at Central Penn College. She has experience working with a variety of mental health diagnoses, especially depression, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder, and PTSD.  

 
Lindsay Snoke, LSW

Lindsay is a licensed therapist with a Masters of Social Work Degree with a mental health focus from the University of Pittsburgh. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Psychology. She also received a minor in Sociology and a minor in LGBTQ+ and Sexuality Studies. Her therapy style is trauma-informed, strength-based, and CBT.


She worked previously at Laurel Life with children ages 3-12 as a Behavioral Health Technician and appreciated watching her clients’ growth and learning about Autism. She previously interned at Pine Grove SCI in their case management department as well as at Renewal Outpatient Mental Health. These experiences taught her how to work with individuals in the criminal justice system and meet their unique needs. She interned at Caring Hearts Counseling and provided outpatient services to those with various mental health needs. She has volunteered her time to programs dedicated to ending sexual assault such as the Haven Project in Indiana, PA, as well as an LGBTQ+ group Pride Alliance. She has co-facilitated weekly workshops with LGBTQ+ individuals in college and has enjoyed learning about the complexities of gender and sexuality. She visited an LGBTQ+ conference in Bloomsburg University 3 different years and is Ally Trained; it is important to her to support LGBTQ+ individuals. She places a large emphasis on being culturally competent, and being a strong ally to people of color. Seandor  is a master’s level therapist who completed his graduate training at Towson University in 2016. Seandor’s approach to therapy is person-centered, conversational and eclectic, prioritizing the role of the therapeutic relationship and utilizing a wide variety of techniques and interventions based on the needs of individual clients.
